3 Strikes (Business) (March 1, 2005)
Turning failure into success!
Houston, TX - Being young, female, and African American, isn't easy these
days. Getting ahead in the job market having to rise above the competition
isn't easy either, but Erin Relford has proven it's not impossible. With
hard work and determination, Erin Relford has become one of the many young
African American entrepreneurs in Houston, Texas. "I took advantage of all
the free resources this city has to offer," says Erin. Erin Relford is the
owner of Adrienne Ford Co., a clothing design company catering to women with
curvaceous figures.
Perseverance and Faith is key, but it's not impossible to create your own
business. There are many organizations out there willing to help anyone
wanting to start a business. In Houston, Erin took advantage of Score's
free business counseling and workshops, Houston Small Business Development
Corporation's workshops, as well as, the University of Houston's Small
Business Development Center. In addition, there were many other seminars
available on starting your business, marketing and publicity, and how to get
a small business loan.
After several failed attempts to win the Miller Urban Entrepreneurship
Series Business Plan Competition, Erin decided to find out what it really
takes to have a good business plan. Through her search, she discovered many
outlets that offer free information and counseling. "Owning my own business
has been a dream since I was 15, now it's finally come into fruition." Now
the 25 year old seeks to let others know just how easy it is. "Anyone can
start a business with good research, successful planning, and PRAYER!"
Give your readers the information they need, so they can have access to the
right sources in starting a business. Erin Relford is available for
interview by phone or in person. To request your media kit and schedule an
interview, call Erin at 501-256-9011 or email at Erin@AdrienneFord.com
. We can also provide your readers with a free
copy of The Curvy Diva, a 12-page shopping guide for curvaceous figures.
